Bonus -- experimented with making my own color palette. Took a 64 color one and reduced it to 32 with some adjustments.

Today (Day 7) I made this background fragment with Chrono Trigger as reference.

Day 6 -- another character exploration. Isn't blurry on my computer :/

Day 5 I did an exploration for some astronauts. Or are they shaolin monks? We'll never know.

Just kidding. I just tried to get object size right and do it from memory, NOT using reference.

On day 4 I decided to go for the full 8 frames.

Still need to go back and paint it.

On day 3 I went back to Megaman and animated him.

A tutorial I watched said to trace Megaman. So that's what I did! And it looked just like the Megaman I made out of colored Wool in Minecraft 10 years ago because I copied a screenshot.

On day 2 I tried to create my own character, using Anna from FF4 as inspiration.

It wasn't for New Years or anything but I've been doing pixel art for ~30 minutes a day every day in January. Thought I'd share some of my foray.

Here's an image of the skin. Still figuring out how gifs work in Bluesky.

Basically, if everyone rates your product a 6, no one will buy it. But if half the people rates it a 2, and the other half rates it a 10, it'll be a huge hit. I see this over and over with design.

I also love the discussion these products create.
