Wow, I just watched the segment.

It's a simple thing: Add a disclosure note at the bottom of the article, and like other jobs, if you have a conflict of interest, disclose it and don't let the two meet.

I know this industry survives on needing PR contacts to do things, but be smart about it.

So, I stepped back, with the result being contacts dried up, opportunities lessened, & it just became a thing that I no longer wanted to do at all. I hope this doesn't happen to you, but I commend you making your mental health first priority. Games media is a grind these days, more than people know

I'm right there with you. I spent 10 years working in games media, & I noticed the change in the way the system over the last few years, for the most part, it just took so much of a mental toll that I stopped enjoying what I do. So, I stepped back, with the result being that the contacts dried up

I don't have a reference sheet, because I use pngs. Maybe you can do something with those.

People were upset when CGI replaced stunt effects; this is the same thing. A.I. being used for fan projects is going to become the norm from here on out as it's cheaper than using a CGI or stunt company.
