exactly! like this thinking disregards the idea that a song can be you singing a melody and clapping your hands, and arguably that's more of a "legit" song based on human history than some indie pop mp3

the subtext here is that a song isn't real or doesn't "exist" if it's not a fully produced digital commodity :(
