I machined/fabricated a bunch of parts to make the tank and rear fender bolt up without cutting the frame at all. In addition I made a seat pan out of aluminum. that'll be getting upholstered in a couple weeks.

Similar vibes to one of my favorite photos i've ever taken. About 7 miles east of Adel, OR on hwy 140. Utterly desolate, and the 200aqi worth of wildfire smoke enhanced that feeling significantly.

heres a fun example, we have a machine that turns that straight piece of wire into this part. one at a time, 4-6 hours a day. it has made Millions of these in the last 30 years. if you've ever used a 3M tape-and-masking-paper roller dispenser thing it might be a familiar shape to you

here's one little thing, its a double acting pneumatic cutter for a small wire straightener. the moving "cam bar" has a slope in it that a bearing rides against, which actuates the cutter when the cylinder moves. being double action it's much quieter and uses half as much air as a single action

this thing is so shiny, its gonna be a real shame to powdercoat it after the subframe for the rear fender and seat is made up. but on the other hand the old bridgeport is cutting better than ever despite putting in 30 years of work with basically no maintenance
