Today the grands are all taken up with private lessons and the like so I’m in my classroom trying out different grand piano sounds for the ‘Pathétique’. Some grands are too warm in the bass, some too little: this is the Steinway 9’ setting.

I’ve had this old Mosin-Nagant for a while now and I got her refit recently. I fired her today and she shot like a champ.
Tested some rounds today, too. Wasn’t sold on the Sellier rounds but they were cheap so…🤷🏾♂️
The Hornady’s were perfection. I’d expect nothing less from them, though.

Also, seeing sun hit Portland’s finest pales in the face is HILARIOUS!!!! Streets are EMPTY as they scurry from shade pocket to shade pocket like lost bits of rice….

Years old. I used to run the Festival of Lights at the Grotto (PDX) hence the outdoor work clothes. (15 million lights strung up in six weeks!!) I used to play this piano in one of the chapels on-site during lunch breaks.

My daughter takes her new kitten responsibilities very, very seriously. This little dude gets a full bed set up with treats, stuffy, blankets, the works.
Still haven’t named the little fucker….kinda wanna make him after a Balrog or name him ‘Gmork’ from the Never-ending Story.
