I’ve added some real shells to the surface, including limpets, and started free motion embroidering mussel shells to give them a bold, stitched texture. There’s also a lot more hand stitching now, which is helping to build up the layers and detail. #themanbroiderer #textile

Saturday was a freestyle embroidery at Yarny Bees, followed by a full-day workshop at IDC College on Sunday. Monday brought a finale to this year’s Textile Explorations course at Littleheath Barn Studio, wrapped it all up with a hand embroidery workshop back at @idccollege.
