Running a small creative business means doing everything yourself, every minor detail and every major decision, and while we’ve loved parts of the process, we no longer have the capacity…

…where censorship and algorithms have worked against us.

We’ve dealt with no shows, misleading enquiries, and boundaries being pushed, all of which have left us drained. We’ve tried to stay true to our original vision, but somewhere along the way, it got lost.

The work has become too heavy, and the energy we put in is no longer matched by what we get back.

There's no one specific reason for our decision, it's a variety of factors.

It's time to say goodbye.

We’ve decided to bring The Male Studio to a close.This has been a difficult decision, but it's the right one.

What started as a joyful, creative space has slowly become something that no longer lights us up.
