A rare freeform poem from me

the knife twists in my gut serrated edges catching on my very being flaying me open my soft insides bleeding and on display for the world to see exposed vulnerable i try to push away the pain but blood bubbles up from my throat it coats my lungs and fills my mouth choking me from the inside refusing to let me ignore it my hands scrabble for the knife nails clawing for purchase but the knife only twists in deeper it is no use to fight it every attempt just shows more of me more of my weakness making more and more perceive my agony so instead i dress up my wounds draw colorful patterns on the bandages paint flowers on the knife in my chest if my very soul must be on display then i will try to make it beautiful
