The court is clearly regressive and will probably be that way for decades. If the Dems regain any power, it's imperative that they ensconce democratic issues in law. Not executive orders not precedence, LAW. Otherwise it's Roe v Wade over and over.

We had two "moderate" Senate Dems kill key agendas of the Biden administration, so we should be concerned with defectors on votes too. Have to hold feet to the fire.

The higher the weight the higher the cost in the long run. Tax payer benefits. Lower the weight they may get back to work, economy benefits. The person is healthier, they benefit. More of the drug is sold, business benefits. Everybody wins.

For perspective, when I enlisted into the military it required a top secret clearance. I had to undergo drug, background, personality and financial checks. They found a shoplifting charge (sealed) from when I was twelve and I shit you not, I had to go in front of a board to clear me for enlistment.
