Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Starbux brand whole bean previous year Christmas espresso blend (I, ah, won’t say what year, just that it’s been in my stash for a little minute). As it happens I had some already ground up, perfect for the #espresso machine.

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Dunkin Midnight, said to have a bold flavor. Nice, somewhat chocolatey aroma from the bag and while brewing in the #espresso machine. Tried a splash of hazelnut syrup, packed it with ice, and topped it off with some almost ridiculously sweet creamer.

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some decaf today with Starbux brand House Blend, said to have cocoa and toffee notes. Nice sweet, chocolatey aroma from the bag (how long has this been in my stash anyway? Hm…best not to dwell on that). Into the #espresso machine it went.

Nice aroma while brewing, not quite enough to overshadow the aromas from my other #solofeast preparations, but still very nice.

Today’s #coffee pick: went local-ish with Paramount Coffee brand out of Lansing, MI. Time to “Fall In Love” with Vanilla Nut Cream. Subtly sweet aroma from the bag, with some warm notes. Into the #espresso machine it went.

Today’s #coffee pick: I went with New Mexico Piñon Coffee, a recent acquisition gifted to me by a visiting dear friend, said to have a smooth and subtle flavor inspired by the piñon nut native to the southwest. (The coffee, not the friend.)

Today’s #coffee pick: Vampire brand (because what else would I drink right now) Nocturnal French roast, said to have notes of smoked raspberry, dark chocolate and anise. A fine excuse to bring out my raspberry syrup. Very mild aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it went.

Today’s #coffee pick: Got into my stash for some Dunkin Midnight, said to be rich and full bodied. (Is it just me or is that kind of a generic description for when you can’t think of what to say about it?) Mildly sweet aroma from the bag, maybe a little hint of vanilla. Into the #espresso machine.

Today’s #coffee pick: Grande Kaffe brand #pumpkinspice (because what else on Sept 1st?). The bag was a “B” to get open (it’s like they don’t want you getting at it), but I was rewarded with a nice rich spicy aroma. Into the -#espresso machine it went. The aroma was equally nice while brewing.

First #pumpkinspice of the season on Saturday, an iced #coffee from Dunkin. Nothing fancy like a frappe, it didn’t need to be. Delicious all on its own, with just some added sugar and cream. I took my time enjoying this one. It made the day’s excursions that much more enjoyable.

Today’s #coffee pick: it was a good day for decaf, so I got into my stash for some Starbux brand decaf House Blend, said to have cocoa and toffee notes. Light aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it went. Brewing was a little skewed with this one but it made it through. No syrup today.

Today’s #coffee pick: Junior’s brand “Most Fabulous” Hazelnut Torte. Slightly sweet aroma from the bag and while brewing, maybe a little nutty. Packed with ice and topped off with hazelnut creamer. I’m not prepared to say this is the most fabulous, but it’s definitely delish!

#birthdayshenanigans kicks off at Chili’s with a free dessert with purchase of an entree. This year I went with peanut butter pie, because how could I not? I deliberately ate scantily so as to make sure there would be room for this delight, a well utilized strategy.
