The Lucky Ewe's inaugural workshop, Learn To Dye 101, was held. The studio was looking pretty schmick, as they say, and some great results were achieved.

In recent years, I have subscribed less to the celebration of the big marketing days, and the death of my mother 2 years ago makes the approach of Mother's Day even more poignant for me.

No paywall on this article. I rarely post anything that reflects my political sentiments, mostly because others can articulate my feelings better than I. The amount of $$ raised by The Felon makes me sick to my stomach

The staggering amount, disclosed in a filing with the Federal Election Commission, was driven by corporate America’s eagerness to win the president’s favor.

Cardigan blocked and awaiting buttons, log cabin square for a blanket, the sock from hell and a comfort knit face cloth. Buttons are vintage from stash. @melbournecitydye.bsky.social dyed almost all the yarn for the cardi (I did the dark green) - a tiny portion

Cable ties - what’s not to love?
These house numbers have been waiting a year for installation. Guess a year must be my ‘ffs, I’ll do it myself’ threshold.

Pretty easy to figure out where some of my colour inspo comes from. I love this time of year, but really dislike the early sunsets. Cloverleaf Corriedale combed top, grown & processed in Victoria, hand dyed in Tasmania.

Slim pickings this week as the studio has once again taken over my life. Cardigan still waiting to be blocked. I found 3 projects bags with one finished sock in them & o e bag with one mitt so I decided to cast on the second one.
Comfort knitting is all I can do atm.

Recorded yesterday, Ep 1 of the Maxine Report, which was promised a few months back. Maxine is the name some new friends gave me when I was at the Ashford retreat last Nov because they said I wasn't a 'karen'. Downloaded the new-to-me editing software & spent a few hours learning how to use it.

Ten more rows left on my extra long cuff. Cardi has bumped all other projects to the back of the queue. Button band is next, and I will be singing the button band song that I made up. Song is sung to the tune of the muffin man as sung by Adam Lambert imitating Cher.

#showmeyourknits green week. My all the greens cardigan. Yarn is Cheviot, mostly dyed by @melbournecitydye.bsky.social but the dark green cuffs dyed by me. Pattern is the classic cardigan by tin can knits. My tension is all over the place, there’s twisted stitches and mistakes everywhere. I love it

Today’s meet and greet is with Gravy. He is the middle man of the 3 Ami-goats (oh goddess, I made a goat pun). Of the 3, he is the most even tempered and laid back.

Blanket almost finished. Currently playing yarn chicken with the bind off. All other projects have been put on hold while I’m finishing this one.
This cotton is so soft and fun to work with.

WIP Wednesday- my 3 active knitting wips (there’s a few languishing in project bags) plus crochet, weaving and spinning wips. Do you keep wips in diff parts of your house and/or workspace? Level of energy also dictates level of completion.

A reminder for these times.

Today, for the first time in close to a year, I stopped doing and took some time to “look down”. Thanks to @franklinhabit.bsky.social for the inspo.
