Some flavor for Mexico! This is based on 1988 era (or cyberpunk 2013) lore, which saw the cartels become corporations that basically ran the government while the mexican government was losing the war to combat them, all the while local (peoples) militias grew to resist them

Responding to the post but first version thrown together vs current World map (sorry for the constant reposting, image compression kept dyingg) now its a .Webp file so you should not have to worry about lossness :0

Could you argue this was done poorly? yes. does it make even a remote impact? no. but considering its being barely reported AND YOU CAN SEE IT FROM SPACE. i decided to at least add some sort of remembrance event cause the alternative is "it never happened" or ignoring it and both would feel wrong

A minor change to south asia, decided that pakistan is gone, its east is a series of autonomous regimes under the indian republic, whilst the west is still independent, with pashtun supporting afganistan against the soviets. also did you know the northeast region is called the seven sisters

felt like i should mention a minor thing, the amazon is largely gone outside of Guiana, which falls under the Co-operative Union of Guiana, although this hasn't stopped basillian corporations from trying to encroach on the region causing guiana to be the largest backer of the environmentalist nomads

not really a teaser, but a lot of generic portraits have been made, those with Civilian in the name [31 so far], there would be more femme-presenting portraits, but the Cyberpunk subreddits (where these are from) tends to lean more sexualized when it comes to anything femme. more to be added

okay ,this is a screenshot from testing stuff, but the world map looks a bit different, thanks to someone who offered to change it to match sea-level rise, so have that and a collapsed south asia, and a amazonia revolt, and more (sorry if you can't read the names)
