else I can do. I am unsure if what I do qualifies as complacent. I fear if I do anymore, it will jeopardize my family's safety, not even from attack from the government, but simply due to losing the only means of their care. I would say its comparable in an extreme wah to how some people have that adaptation that allows to do better in much thinner air but still need air in general.

I would disagree on the ventilation part. Part of why one of the reasons dwarves are known as amazing miners is BECAUSE they are good at build badass mines (which even if you dont need breathing air, gotta have ventilation to stop big boom). Plus, dwarves usually only show some poison resistance

I can take a little boiling water on the outside and smoke on my skin prolly won't give me cancer. But my lungs for both, well that's another story.
