I've never voted for Collins, but I don't get why everyone is so upset with her statement. It seems she is trying to protect interests. I've been reading since the age of 3 and I think I know how to interpret English. I too hope she fails to get re-elected.

I confess that I don't follow Maine politics closely. I'm obsessed with the national nonsense. (I live in Maine, born and bred.) That Moderate business may have been useful to Maine in days past. Remember, politicians blue and red, don't care about us. I'm 73 and still have anger issues. USA sucks.

Maine is not a red state. Northern Maine assholes represented by Collins are NOT the majority. To be included on a list with states like Mississippi and Alabama is outrageous. Our Governor Mills (D) is rejecting the executive orders on gender.

Gawd it burns me up to see the possessions of powerless people being plowed up! Scotus offered no solution to homeless citizens. Where the hell should they go? This makes me crazy!!! The most powerful nation in the world cares NOTHING for its citizens. AARGH! DEPORT REPUBLICANS

Why is there no medical pushback against the idea that gender expression is binary only? In some births, gender may not be clearcut. There are many reasons why someone can identify as non-binary - conception is a chromosomal/hormonal soup and not mental illness or deviance.
