Despite the high expectations set by TAAN and NTB last year, currently, only one checkpoint is operational on the trekking routes in #Nepal. Hoping for improved coordination and positive changes to enhance Nepal's trekking experience in the future

When your favourite cafe closes down, and you have to admit that the place you don't like next door has become incredibly popular (for some reason). And... you have to include it in your guidebook while removing the other. 🏳️

Good news: there will be no price increase in flight prices from Kathmandu to Lukla as was expected this season in #Nepal.

Rumor has it domestic flights (non-Nepali) to Lukla (Everest Trek) look set to increase in price to nearly $500 return soon. It's cheaper to fly to Malaysia or Thailand. Triple tier pricing in #Nepal is killing tourism as the number of Everest based treks this season drops.
