Did you just have the diaper laying on a surface? I have to hold it with one end of the diaper in one hand, the other held between my legs so it's in the air while using the wheel

Yeah you gotta press pretty hard with these, I imagine the barrel ones even more so. Might just be because mine is now quite blunt but I've switched to using a scalpel and making slits instead
