All ladies know that when you find a killer pair of shoes, on sale, you buy them even if they don't have your exact size. I got these for a ridiculously low price and while they're a teensy bit snug I don't care.

This is reactor number 4, the one that melted down. in 2012 they were still building the sarcophagus. Allegedly, it's fully contained now.

Today's photo is the best cat ever to lay a paw on the earth. His name was Bean and we got him from a shelter in Abu Dhabi. Turns out he was a purebred Arabian Mau. He was truly a person in a cat body. When we left the UAE we sent him to our friend's in New Hampshire where he lived many more years.

This day was a hard one. We got to the Ecuador/Peru border early, only to find thousands of Venezuelan refugees already in line. Immigration was taking pregnant women and children first. It was so hard to see, but I needed to see it. We waited 7 hours. 11/17/2017. #travel #peru #ecuador
