And for those with the privilege to survive what is to come — it is the survivors’ responsibility to take the actions needed for creating a sustainable future for the generations here and generations to come.

And yet I ask you to not forget that you are deserving of being treated with dignity, worth, and respect. This may not be the end of everything, but the end of many things as we know them to be today.

I wish I could offer a quick solution to what just happened with the passing of the Big, Beautiful Bill that could stop the future harm. Today is Independence Day, and this bill has made it clear that these “men of god” who are policymakers —do not believe that all are created equal.
