When a prominent Democrat commits felonies, they get eleven years.

When a prominent Republican gets felonies, they get the keys to the White House.

They’re right, it is a two tiered system of justice…

Trump order a halt to distribution of HIV drugs purchased even in part with US aid, as PEPFAR servers go down. The zero arguments best accomplishment of W may be ending.

Because, ICYMI from Trump-1, he’s totally ok with preventable mass death from disease.

Trump Administration Halts H.I.V. Drug Distribution in Poor Countries (Gift Article)
PEPFAR’s computer systems also are being taken offline, a sign that the program may not return, as Republican critics had hoped.

At some point can we default to: This person is what they look like and is taking this action for the most logical reason.

Like, Aileen Cannon *isn't* just a young judge in over her head making some mistakes.

She's doing *exactly* what it looks like she's doing.

Just imagine that the expiration date is printed on his forehead for the rest of his political career.

He gets two years, then he loses Congress and becomes a lame duck… if he isn’t sooner. In four years, he’s gone. As in, really gone.

Hold for two. Vote in four.

This repost is WILD. 😖
At the time, everyone, including Republicans, understood how bad it was. Then, brick by brick, they built a foundation of lies to justify doing what they know, deep down, to be wrong. Trump betrayed the country. And so do they.

Musk may or may not be about to find out that the most dangerous place in today’s politics is between Trump and the center of attention.

Helpful explainer for why #AOC is not the ranking member on the Oversight Committee: she didn’t have the votes.

That’s it. Nothing more fancy than that. If you don’t have majority support in your caucus, you do not get leadership positions.

For all the invective, it appears that the Trump team has at last figured out that the FBI might be better at vetting their clowns than they are. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/03/u...

Gaetz is gone. Chronister is gone for DEA. Leaks say that Trump is mulling replacement picks for Hegseth. And a lot of skeptical noise has been made about Gabbard and Patel from GOP Senators.

These nominations are an even bigger clown show than the first time, but pushback is happening. 🤞🏻

Dems simply cannot obtain sustainable power until they start winning elections in rural areas. And one of the first steps to doing that is challenging the right wing media bubble out side of cities. Right now, they’re just ceding that space. newrepublic.com/post/188197/...
Why Does No One Understand the Real Reason Trump Won?
It wasn’t the economy. It wasn’t inflation, or anything else. It was how people perceive those things, which points to one overpowering answer.

Is the Hunter pardon ideal? No. Is it keeping with the legal norms we’d like to keep? No.

But in the context of what’s going to happen over the next four years. I think I’m at “no significant increase in damage there.”

I’m not going to say Matt Gaetz was a red herring who was nominated to give him a face saving way out of the House…
but that Pam Bondi pick was awful fast after he withdrew. 🤔
November 22, 2024 at 2:48 AM
Gaetz is out, likely on to his future as a Newsmax contributor or something… which was probably always his desired endgame for his political career anyway. That said, there is SOME political gravity effect.
November 21, 2024 at 8:32 PM
There’s a part of me that half hopes that Trump’s nominations of Hegseth, Gaetz, and Gabbard are just intentionally ludicrous red herrings to distract people before he gets the real nominees up.

Sadly, I know better. There’s no pony in the steaming heap.
