people keep using it in Power BI on random statistics and putting it in power points and when asked "what does that mean", they're like well I'd have to look into it further. Like wow what a time saver

Also...what exactly separates a "gifted ed specialist" from someone who did all the classes and license hours to become a kindergarten teacher? Like the normie kindergarten teacher is gonna look at a "gifted" student and be like "i simply have no idea what to do with this child"

In other words: it's better for transphobes to want to vote democrat because of policy and a future that dems paint for them. Not because a democrat is ceding ground on right wing shit which is what Ezra is implying needs to happen and Hasan is saying is incorrect.
October 3, 2025 at 3:15 AM
yes, that is a point hasan made too. He is not "conflating" "these things". Ezra made a point that it's good to concede ground to "win elections" on things like transphobia. Hasan disagrees with THAT point. It is not good for Democrats to concede those points.
October 3, 2025 at 3:12 AM
It can't be Motte and Bailey if I've literally been saying the same thing this entire thread. You're again arguing something that that is not even the subject of the clip.
It is not "better" for democrats to cede ground on transphobia as Ezra implies in the video. That's the entire point.

It's weird remembering 2006 social media platforms where there was always one guy who was like "I'm worried about what it will do to people if we allow ____ " and how they're all retired or bought out and gone now because it turns out allowing ______ has become profitable in the new "rage economy"

Virginia posting on Donnie Darko day. Is this a sign of anything
October 2, 2025 at 7:38 PM
No one is arguing against that. You decided that's what Hasan was saying...but it's not. The fact is that poor Dem strategy is HOW those fascists came into power. And this is a conversation about how to do things moving forward. Do not capitulate to right wing framing as Ezra insinuates. Ever.
October 2, 2025 at 6:12 PM
I mean it's also a fact that Dems *allowed* pubs to pass Anti-trans legislation and did nothing about it while Biden was in office. it's not just rhetoric, it's literally a precedent that they then get locked into because of their complacency.
October 1, 2025 at 9:08 PM
No. His point would be that you shouldn't capitulate to right wing framing on poverty and SNAP because then they can just run that over and over and over again which will PREVENT you from getting elected and doing anything about poverty and SNAP. There's no reason to cede middle ground there.
