As someone who stopped playing around 2013 and then picked the game back up in 2023, I agree that the lack of full updates hurts. But I'm blown away at how many community maps they've introduced since. We used to get like one or two maps an update!

It's way easier to just buy stuff now, hey? I do kinda miss actively trading for things though
