I’m investigating a weird silent space in a church and a weird tone starts uncontrollably playing through the speakers. We unplug it before the church collapses.

It’s obvious that Mirialans had some sort of deity-based religion before it was absorbed into the Jedi order. Barris is seen praying to an idol at one point, and Mirialan masters gotta take at least 1 mirialan padawan.
To say nothing of the ‘special circumstances’ allowed for master Mundi.
