I certainly love returning to the days of picking up my phone in the morning and wondering “what fresh new hells have they created today” before unlocking it.

We teach our kids that duplicity, dishonesty, theft, cruelty, callousness, lack of ethics and so forth are not qualities of happy, successful adults. Then we glance at the news and realize that, apparently, that’s exactly what has been raised up to lead. What a lesson, eh.

So, how’s that existential dread treating you? I picked up reading again. 18 books in 52 days. Less than 1/2 my pre-kids rate, but it’s cut the doomscrolling. Showing the age of my eyes though, granny glasses are ever present now. Considering doubling down and getting the glasses chain, too.
