Wonder what I'll get as a non-renewed STH. Will Tom be better than Jim?

@itsflanoy.bsky.social Dixie Ray also gets called Noodle because she was very flexible and patient when she was a kitten.

We saw it in week 2 and not confident it will ever open on Broadway unless it has been seriously reworked since then. Moments of brilliance, moments of confusion and boredom, and way too long.

I love how the dance styles match each costume. I would expect nothing more than to see the unicorn jumping up and down with their hooves in the air.

That was my first thought

And, unless they can negotiate a new deal, all the things that the commissioner has said benefits the league does not benefit 99% of players. And they clearly feel like they're being forced to play in less than perfect conditions with little league respect.

Part of the problem is the many new fans and media that know nothing about the WNBA and their long-time challenges. And now, because one person has added "fans", everything is supposed to be great for all of them. I would guess most new Fever fans could not name five players from other teams.

My prediction: A total PR move like elevating Toby Gardenhire.

Feeling better about Austin Martin? I am concerned about the lack of run production on his hits but at least he’s hitting.
September 22, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Pray for us at tonight's game. We're hoping we don't get the blowback from that phenomenal performance.

Austin Martin as the bad boy?

The post I saw with game times must have been Pacific times. Noon is a tiny bit better.
September 12, 2025 at 5:10 PM
10 am game time. Who schedules this BS? That’s 8 am in SF.

That reminds me we have three days to cancel our season ticket package for next season. Not going to do the auto-pay now and may re-up once we see if they're actually going to do anything to make them watchable over the off-season.

Try Richfield

My husband is doing exactly the same thing.

I have a bit of a soft spot for him - seems like he’s working to improve and his hitting has improved but sometimes judgment is not great. He could use a mentor. And the squeeze play call was a risk by Rocco. Wrong night to say it, but I’m over Eddie.

We were in Cleveland last weekend for the series and they are also much meaner than you would expect them to be - booed opposing lineup intros, booed mound visits, etc. How do you feel about Toronto? Not a contender, but fun travel for ballpark visits?
August 13, 2025 at 9:33 PM
True. I think what I would really like is to have that ability to not get pelted by the Yankees every time we go there. Tonight felt like it was demoralizing after having seen some good spark from the young guys.
August 13, 2025 at 2:22 AM
I realize we have issues in general now but when do we realize that we have to play the stadium in addition to the team when it comes to the Yankees? Where are the guys who can take advantage of that short porch like they do?
August 13, 2025 at 2:12 AM
The rest of the team has been better than expected (see at least .500 since the sale) and I unfortunately think he can’t do much about the pitching weakness.
August 12, 2025 at 12:43 AM
Such a clear advantage for the Yankees in that dumb stadium. They only hit to the short porch and they only pitch to protect the short porch. Makes their rookie pitcher look like a Cy Young winner.

I am a bit frustrated, but no ill will. He could have been part of getting further towards a championship here, but he had his own physical issues and the inconsistent hitting was a big problem. Will all that go away back in Houston? If so, that's at least partly on him.
