Mostly an account for prestige TV shit posting. I also read books sometimes. Recovering former evangelical & obnoxious Italian American. All views my own.
Let’s hear it for unlikeable female protagonists who are also unreliable narrators!!

My genre fiction streak continues with multi-genre representation! Funny Story is, by far, the best Emily Henry book I’ve read. She got everything right about librarians and public libraries, down to our shitty salaries.

This White Lotus Supergoop tie-in is almost as bad as the Squid Game Domino’s ads. The bag is cute, but don’t these marketers understand that what we love about WL is hating the horrible rich, not trying to emulate them? The joy is smugly judging them, like Aubrey did last season.

I finished an Emily Henry novel that I quite liked! I didn’t skip any pages. I bought the romance and liked both protagonists. A win for this literary fiction snob. #booksky

Here’s my current CR pile. I’ve been trying romance again. I struggle with the genre. It’s like eating junk food. It tastes good but I’m never quite satisfied or full.

The thing about those Stanley cups is that I can’t unsee this when I see the Ashleys carrying them around.

The powers that be at my institution decided to decorate for Christmas this year, except that the lights are orange and white and tacky af.

Sometimes I wonder why I live in a place with so few Italians.

I tried the new Foxtrot market on the Drag. What an experience of our current late-stage capitalist dystopia. I paid $9 and waited 20 minutes for the saddest avocado toast.

The first day of fall means nothing in TX. I have so much okra that it’s pickling time!
