In addition, looking like an everyday person is one of the protestors greatest defenses. When people start wearing masks, face coverings etc they reduce that quality.

Muh dude, they did not conceal their identities in large part because doing so would conceal their humanity and undermine the central tactic. Of creating violent imagery of themselves being attacked while doing the innocuous. Furthermore the threats they faced were far more dangerous.

You do realize that many of the kids released from those centers wound up trafficked and exploited right? Doing home studies and vetting caretakers takes time and resources, this was the approach initially favored by HHS. Pressure on the left prevented the responsible approach.

There is a way to drastically improve law enforcement in the US, reduce abuse excessive force bad shootings and markedly improve efficacy in community relations and responding to crime. Get rid of the police unions while maintaining the legal and civil service protections.
