Years ago, I found the short story "We Shall not be Bitter at the End of the World" Aside from the impending comet and the decompression of reality, it's exactly the sort of lovely gathering I wish for your thanksgiving.

Look up Light Speed Magazine Podcast or read their magazine online.

It’s my twelfth birthday and we’re all waiting for Wormwood and everyone is here and I mean everyone. Me and Mom and Dad and Big Pa which is my grandpa who was the strong man at one of the last travel...

Me at home: Oh no! So many symptoms! How will I survive?

Me at the doctor's office: I feel fantastic. I am the healthiest woman alive. Go ahead, give me another test. I'll get an A plus on bloodwork.

Me: *Explaining menstruation in a careful, measured, and age-appropriate way. Education experts would weep with pride. Surely, my daughter will remember and cherish this insight.*

It's Real Bad, right? We all agree that masked agents abducting people from their homes is a bad thing, yes?
Ok, so none of us like it but it's happening anyways. Welp. I already tried doomscrolling; that didn't fix anything. I guess the next step is protesting.
The next No Kings march is coming up! Come and march peacefully with Salt Lake Indivisible.

I have a whole week without a doctor's appointment.
I've made progress, the slow "try this and come back in 3 months" kind of progress. But what a relief to stay home and keep to my schedule. The unparalleled luxury of being alone for 5 hours straight.

The vibe at the rapture was way off. Lights too bright. Trumpets too loud. Went home early.

I needed bigger pants so I ordered bigger pants but Great Calamity Befell me and the new pants are too big. I am now excused from the burden of pants altogether. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

I shouldn't have eaten their food or joined in their moonlight dance.
The fae gave the gift of vocab test perfection, but cursed me with time blindness.
Now, I can't tell the difference between 45 minutes and 2 hrs. All tasks are equally urgent.
I suffer still, though the vocab tests are no more

Hey, while we're talking about erasing history:

In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun."

The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen.

So they refused to announce a winner🤡

It's ok--more than ok--to disconnect and create. The news is less than worthless if it paralyzes you.

Anyways, here's my weird dog doing her weird pose.

My least favorite thing about AI is when I see a cool picture of a bird I've never seen before I have to question the very existence of the aforementioned bird.

Here's hoping that scrolling feels like the good ol' days of twitter, rather than the late-stage trash fire of X

I tell people what to do with their imaginary friends.
I sit on the couch and sigh a lot. Sometimes I get up and make tea. Intermittently there are typing noises.
