Can @tylercowen.bsky.social please not have Ross Douthat on again? I know he seems like an intellectual, but the topics are just a waste of time.

Is BlueSky predominantly just people discussing politics? Any meaningful discussion of product design? Software development? Other topics (electric vehicles)?

This past election and this current chaos really highlights how broken our institutions for news and journalism have become. Social media is more segmented and the algos are more tuned to feed you the shit, while the major news outlets just can’t seem to keep up w/the chaos of this administration.

I wonder what all the dem holdouts on Harris over Israel/Gaza are thinking after the orange man’s stated desire on Gaza today. Pretty sure they did not see Gaza becoming an American territory and all removal of all Palestinians as a consideration.

The unexpected side effect of removing foods with addd sugar, increasing protein and removing alcohol, is that I actually don’t feel I need coffee/caffeine. I had removed coffee a year ago, but it wasn’t until I changed the other aspects about 10 weeks ago that it felt easy without coffee.

I’m currently off alcohol, coffee and added sugar. I didn’t have becoming Mormon on bingo card in 2025.
