I'm watching this startup - an electric, four-door pickup with a 5' foot bed that's the same length as a MINI Cooper. They're using as many off-the-shelf components as possible to make repairs easier.

My grands seeded their house with stuff for me to discover, like the Commodore 64 they kept in the dining room. Every time I'd visit, I'd pretty much beeline to it, slap in our Radar Rat Race cartridge, or try to copy the BASIC code from the latest magazine.

I wish these internet-connected appliances would just work via Smart home tech (or better yet, a simple mesh network) rather than having to call out. I actually DO like getting a notification that my dryer is done on my phone, but it doesn't need to call the mothership for that.
