Draft one of my kelpie story is finally complete!
Now to take a break, go back to my previous project, give it another round of polishing, then return to querying agents, take ANOTHER break, and THEN it'll be time to reread kelpie draft one and make notes for draft two!

I recently took myself to London on a sister visit/research trip/birthday treat to myself! I was only there briefly but I had a blast and learned some useful things for my current project. I also got very excited at @oldoptheatre.bsky.social and saw some lovey tack at the housebold cavalry museum.

50k into draft 1 of my current project! It's scruffy and will need a LOT of fixing once it's finished, but that's alright - for now, all it has to do is exist.

Five days of the month still to go and I've already hit my writing goal! I deliberately made it very very reasonable this month so that I can take it relatively easy and NOT burn myself out.

Metsi is most decidedly NOT a fan of the outside world. 20 seconds after this she walked me back to the door (three metres away) and started purring the moment we were inside. We'd been outside for about 90 seconds.
