Several outlets that make up a panel do the nominating, then several outlets make up the majority of the vote while public voters are something like under 30% impact

I blame the commercialism behind it: take the pieces that are easiest to replicate and pump out products.

It’s too easy to pack a movie or game with jump scares and blood, it takes effort to flesh out interesting lore, characters, and create the feeling of dread without just shocking the senses
