- Securing safety in by forging meaningful ties between law enforcement and the communities they serve, and providing resources for prosecutors to pursue violent criminals

Not a complete list, but it's a start

Vote Democrat all the way down the ticket!

Please make the vote #JayJones 💙🇺🇸

Jay Jones will help protect us from a Christian Nationalist and fascist agenda, while Miyares bows to the Trump admin and advances it. Jay will help defend scientific research and our academic institutions while Miyares stands down for the Trump admin to have their way

Leaving it blank or voting for a third party is a vote for the Trump-aligned republican (we learned from any number of local, state, and national elections including Harris/ Trump all the way back to Gore/ Bush)

And, oh yeah

- ONLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS answer to the lowering hammer of SOL tests

It's like the government made up of policy-makers without education backgrounds wants to burn public education to the ground for some sort of agenda or something 🤔

- this increased emphasis on standardized tests comes at a time when the feds have slashed the Department of Education and decimated the special ed department, putting students at severe disadvantages of learning to their true potential let alone regurgitating shit for a standardized test,

6/
October 22, 2025 at 12:48 AM
- testing cultures promote systems of control and training over educating, and they perpetuate stereotyping

- punitive testing systems dumb down education except for the wealthy (that's most of us, y'all)

teaching to the test, flights of privileged families (you know who you are) out of schools that serve diverse populations and socio-economic backgrounds and that leads to terrible disparities in access to enriched, meaningful, and relevant learning

October 22, 2025 at 12:48 AM
- increasing the importance of standardized tests leads to horrendous trends in education such as cheating (on the parts of students AND by the school systems themselves)...

3/
October 22, 2025 at 12:48 AM
and it took a lot to step away from it so going back to thinking about it seems exhausting but here's what I'll say for now...

- standardized tests certainly have their place, they can be AN indicator of student success but under no circumstance should they ever ever ever be THE indicator. Ever.
