I don’t chase happiness. I don’t wait for it. I don’t promise it. Happiness is the temporary thing. I was built on determination and curiosity an inexplicable desire to be present and not happy I am thoughtful artistic captivated adventurous Happiness is a side effect. I can’t learn to be happy again because I never knew how I trust that happy will come and go like it always has a seasonal decoration on my little house I won’t be happy I’ll be hopeful anxious surprised dazzled I can’t wait for happiness to sprout through ash in the aftermath of a wildfire when the fire was worth loving while it was here
