ages ago I was at a Jays game with Todd and they showed the 1993 Joe Carter home run that won the world series and I said, “I dated someone once that said no Canadian in our generation can see that clip without crying” and then I looked over at him to see his response and he was very manfully crying

I’m keeping hope alive by remembering the 2019 World Series, where every game was won by the visiting team. But we are …. not off to a great start.

I kind of wonder if some of the sets of parents were divorced so it felt more high-stakes to be there/not be there. Like for them it didn’t have errand vibes it had milestone vibes? Other than that i absolutely do not know and none of the six kids in my fam had two freaking parents there

he just turned 18 and bought his first car and now I’m thinking about him dashing around the dining room table, eagerly refilling milk glasses like a sommelier. That was 1/3 of this life ago 😭😭😭

the BENEFIT of email communication is that you can take time to collect your thoughts so you don’t have to stammer out an answer on the spot. How thoughtful of them to bypass the opportunity to appear as if they’ve given this tool even ten seconds of thought, or considered its impact on the students

when my brother was 12 literally all he wanted for his birthday was MILK IN BAGS bc he genuinely could not believe it existed, I got him regular AND chocolate, w/pitchers + the little snipping tool. I also let my mom know you can freeze it RIGHT IN THE BAG bc I … gave a child 2 full gallons of milk.

Also: my mom had rubella once. But my younger sibs also had an increased risk of CHD based on my defect. Obviously, vaccines protect public heath and help prevent outbreaks, but I think it can be overlooked that not being vaccinated can impact generations of your family in ways that aren’t obvious.

It seems likely that the decrease of MMR vaccines will eventually lead to an increase in congenital heart disease and other birth defects. It also seems likely the anti-vax community will blame those issues on cell phone radiation or 5G or pesticides or whatev else bc they love vibes and hate facts
