Exhaustion shouldn't be idealized.

We don't bring our best work when we're red-lining.

Yes, There's a place for increasing volume.

But valuable creativity happens when you have MARGIN.

I've worked to burnout several times, but the most value I've made was from times when I had margin to BREATHE

The punch-line of "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's" wasn't that we should pay taxes (by giving to Caesar the thing with his image on it: money).

It was the second part:

"Give to God what is God's"

We do that by giving God what has HIS image on it:

Ourselves.

That's a complete reversal of how it used to be. Colleges used to be measured by how many books they had in the library. Access to courses was restricted. If knowledge was power, controlling access was essential. They even call it the 'admissions office.' Part of the status that comes from higher education is that they controlled who could find the information and who was left behind.

We have choice.

We choose how we feed our bodies and minds.

We choose where we spend our limited attention and our money.

We choose each moment.

Every day, every minute, every second, we choose.

And every one of those choices builds your future.

So, what future are you choosing?

Resilience favors numerous, smaller decentralized solutions, instead of one massive solution.

This is true in a surprising number of contexts:
- The Web (lots of small sites > 5 big ones)
- Permaculture solutions (many small solutions better than few big ones)
- Customers in business (many > few)
