We found that the pattern of TEs and effector genes distribution mirrors what is seen in plant pathogens. Confirming also that AMF species can potentially have two-speed genome architecture. Previously only known for R. irregularis species.

I just found out that I am part of Barbara McClintock’s scientific lineage, she was my great-great-great-grand-supervisor! That perfectly explains my passion for transposable elements. Feeling on the right track! 🤓🥹🥰
