There’s clearly a fame hierarchy (‘famous for doing something’, ‘famous for being famous’, ‘famous by association’, ‘entitled to be famous through association’) but the individuals involved don’t seem to understand that.

Same. We'd got to that place where selection and tactics seemed to be as much about proving points as it was about winning games. I'll take a new manager who gets them playing positive aggressive football over a new Messiah any day.

Although, weirdly, my Mum spent a year in hospital in the early 80s and the Stoke Mandeville DJ played Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go on heavy rotation, and we bonded over it forever after.

Mostly ‘no’.
There is a huge gulf between easy access help (helplines etc) and an NHS emergency based service. The stigma, the anxiety, the burden of proof, the ignorance… combined they make it feel like getting help will be more traumatic than pushing on.
It’s no wonder we spiral downwards.

Never underestimate the importance of aesthetics to fascism. Clothing is an easy way to signal in/out group status… seriously some of their movements were named after the colour of their shirts.
