I've grown to prefer bar soap. Many of the liquid soaps are too highly fragranced, too drying, any many are needlessly antibacterial.

I really can't agree. Even though the economy has been doing remarkably well by all normal measures, a period of high inflation pretty much guarantees that the incumbent party will be punished, and loses. It has happened all over the world recently.
