Book 97 of 2025
Kooky Spooky Love by Josie Silver

I didn’t love this as much as Crazy Spooky Love - I still REALLY dislike the love interest - but I still had fun. #booksky

It took me 2 weeks, but I finally went through my grandmother’s 600+ book library and these are the books I decided to keep for my own collection. I’m most excited about the Ishmael Reed, though the Genji graphic novel is gonna be interesting, too. #booksky

Book 96 of 2025
The Future Saints by Ashley Winstead (ARC)

I’ve liked Winstead’s romances in the past, but this one didn’t do it for me. Something about the the lack of character depth kept me at an emotional distance from the story. I needed more, from the whole book. #booksky

Book 95 of 2025
My Best Friend’s Honeymoon by Meryl Wilsner

I’m so happy to be done with this book! Ugh! I really liked Ginny, wish the whole book had just been in her POV because Elsie frustrated me so much. I need to stop reading Wilsner because her books always leave me wanting. #booksky

Book 94 of 2025
I Who Have Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

For 164 pages, this was quite the ride. I thought I wasn’t going to mesh well with the writing style, but it instantly sucked me in. I still had questions by the end, though. #booksky

I ordered Kooky Spooky Love from a seller on PangoBooks and she so sweetly sent me an extra book for free. And Any Trope But You just so happens to be the book I was planning on getting from the library in December. 🥰 #booksky #bookhaul

My mom and I are cleaning out my grandmother’s house and today we tackled her bedroom closets. Look at this beautiful beaded bag we found in a shoebox.

Book 93 of 2025
Luster by Raven Leilani

I understand this was the literary darling of its time, but man, I did not jive with this book. I did at first, but the further we went, nothing happened. And nothing happened. Then something happened and then depressing ending. Boo. #booksky

This book literally came out at the beginning of the month - who destroyed this book already???? Should I take it back to the library and show them, or assume they already know? #booksky

Books 91 and 92 of 2025
Hollow and Hollow: the Woman in White by Shannon Watters

It was stormy yesterday, so I hunkered down and binged these two graphic novels. I definitely like the first one more, but they’re both fun and cute stories, and the art is so atmospheric. #booksky

Book 90 of 2025
Mine by Delilah S. Dawson

I haven’t read middle grade in a very long time, but I wanted to get this one off my shelves this year. And I liked it. Properly spooky for the age range. #booksky

Book 89 of 2025
Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix

That was a lot. But fantastic. Not at all what I was expecting, but still so visceral and intense and gutting. I loved it. #booksky

Book 88 of 2025
New Adult by Timothy Janovsky

This is my first Janovsky book and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved this! A queer 13 Going on 30 retelling? Perfection! #booksky

Book 87 of 2025
Road Trip with a Vampire by Jenna Levine

Unfortunately, my least favorite of the trilogy. I found myself regularly bored and doing anything to not read. #booksky

Beyond thrilled about my haul today! The books I picked up for $2 at my local thrift store, then I stocked up on some movies at the library. Haven’t seen any of the films, so I’m looking forward to discovering them. #filmsky #booksky

I went thrifting for my grandmother this morning, but I picked up a couple things for myself: a New Yorker puzzle and this Rocawear bomber jacket #thrifthaul #thriftfind

Guess I’ll read because both my laptops are dead and I don’t have shit else to do when it’s pitch black.

Book 86 of 2025
The Storm by Rachel Hawkins (ARC)

So many of Hawkins’ books are middle of the road, just fine for me, but this one got me. It’s a fast read at just under 300 pages, but I was hooked immediately by this mystery. #booksky

Book 85 of 2025
Hocus Pocus: the Illustrated Edition by A.W. Jantha

As a massive Hocus Pocus fan, this was a must-buy when it came out. It just took me a while to read. It was as fun as I expected, and I do love how it expands on the movie, including the big question of who is Elizabeth? #booksky

Book 84 of 2025
Rules for Ghosting by Shelly Jay Shore

This wasn’t as spooky as I expected with a medium MC, but it was romantic and family drama and found family and so, so cozy. I love it. Miss Shore, write more books! #booksky
