I just went to my GP to get some needs. Normally, an appointment costs $200 NT (Taiwan) which is about $6. I lost my NHI card. so I was told I need to pay the uninsured rate for a month's supply of 3 different meds - just $520 NTD ($16).

When the Nazis rose to power, no one stopped them from the inside. There was resistance, but it was ineffective. It took two massive military powers and some additional strong allies to finally bring them to heel...and that only happened when they expanded their power lust beyond their own borders.

Trump continues to take unprecedented (and unconstitutional) actions on a daily basis. Congress has not upheld their oath to protect the constitution.
It's time for congress to take it's own unprecedented action and make Trump the first president removed from office for violating the oath of office

Maybe the continual selected of 70+ year olds for party leadership position is exactly why the Democratic party is so feckless and unable to appeal to the common man. Or maybe they are controlled opposition after all and are terrified of young progressives. Either way, it's a disgrace. #AOC

How ironic that UHC's biggest concern, doing everything in their power to rake in profit through denying care and cutting costs, ultimately led to their CEOs demise.

I've heard the phrase "eat the rich" for years. I never really thought of what it might mean when played out in real life until the UHC CEO got gunned down today.
I would never celebrate the death of another person. But it's really hard to feel like he didn't have it coming...
