Trying not to doomscroll. Emphasis on trying.
Looks like TFM's hate grift is still going. 😑 I haven't got time for people who perpetuate that nonsense, but God do they need a demonetizing kick up the arse for polluting the discourse like this.

I can't choose between these two, so, for the goodies, it's tragic badass hero ARC Trooper Fives, and for the baddies, it's Lee Van Cleef in space, Cad Bane.

Galen Marek. Could move him back to around Dawn of the Jedi, where Force Berserkers could be a thing, his powers nerfed but still feeling like a big deal against the less advanced foes of the time. Or, he could slot in after the Skywalker era, maybe 400 years later, going up against prime Grogu.

I like to imagine that there's maybe 30 seconds of cut footage buried in the Lucasfilm archives from this episode, that's just about Chopper, giving directions to Fenn Rau, then fixing up the Phantom, while all hell breaks loose in the background behind him.

A very pleasant surprise.

Letters are about as effective as thoughts and prayers on a regime like this. You and the party HAVE to get on camera and talk, gin people up, and generate the backlash this and so many other things the regime is doing deserves. Screw politeness, be the OPPOSITION.

It's intentional. They are trying to goad the people into reacting, and the best way to do that is to make them poorer and more desperate.

Yeah 5 seasons would've left Gilroy ancient by the end, and Diego Luna is pushing it trying to play someone 25 years his junior right now, let alone in 10 years, lol. 2 seasons is enough.

Money well spent, from a certain point of view.

It was only planned for 1 season, but it feels so incomplete - there's half a dozen plot threads left dangling, and some of the ones wrapped up in the show weren't explained.

Andor got 2 seasons because Gilroy baked it into his contract.

Colombia has imposed retaliatory tariffs on all US goods. Trade war it is. 🤦

Arguably they set the budget high because (a) Mando was scheduled to wrap up, and they wanted a new show to seamlessly take it's place as the next flagship series, and (b) it was green lit at the height of the pandemic, when Chapek was throwing money at anything that'd get eyes on Disney Plus. 🤷

I don't think you can have a galactic threat like Thrawn and not include the old gang. However, I don't see how they come in without overshadowing the Mando/Rebels characters who are also all going to be involved.

I think Filoni's wrap-up movie should be two movies. It needs the breathing room.

I bet he drew up this illegal scheme gently singing "laws for thee and none for me" to himself like a cute little nursery rhyme.
