My wife agrees with you. Of course there are pockets of cultural differences all over the US as well. Unfortunately, few of them are appealing these days. These are not pleasant times for the country.

Agreed - she sounds a little snippy, but my wife is Italian and we've experienced rudeness in Milan under similar retail circumstances. A**holes are everywhere unfortunately. I'm fairly tall and have always helped at the store like that, but it's always been for an item in the aisle we were both in.

But the Mac Daddy of all time for me remains Kubrick’s 2001. In sync with those visuals, The Blue Danube and Also Sprach Zarathustra still give me the shivers.
