No doubt by September it will be a lot better but, like with the iOS 7 redesign, it will take a couple or *years* before it’s really dialled in.

I normally update to the betas as soon as they’re out because there is some shiny new feature I want… nay, I need. But this year I’m just not arsed. I have iOS 26 installed on a spare iPhone 12 Mini I have lying around just to see how it is, but I have zero desire to install on my main device.

As a non-dev, it seems this year was *actually* developer stuff rather than announcing features for the masses. Guess they’re feeling the pain of the botched AI launch and didn’t want to announce stuff they couldn’t actually ship.
