New Who's first Regeneration episode. Eccleston and Piper both do an incredible job of carrying the weight of one of the core story beats in the show's DNA. However, the complete demystifying of the Daleks severely bog this episode down. (1/2)

A bizarre attempt at satirizing Reality TV and Game Shows. The humour shines on some memorable points, like the Weakest Link section. However, the writing follows the same pitfalls as The Long Game, making this the more forgettable episode of this two-parter.

A far superior use of the Slitheen than their first story. A more personal look at them as characters gave this a very unique and heartbreaking tone by the end of the episode. Unfortunately, some of the fart jokes still made it through to this story.

Steven Moffat's first masterpiece. Often considered one of the scariest stories in the entire show's run. John Barrowman's debut as Captain Jack Harkness was a genuine highlight of this series.

In concept, this is very close to being a masterpiece. Showing the consequences of Rose's impulsiveness and setting her in a genuinely emotional story should work really well on a show like this. (1/2)

A very poor attempt at satirizing the reliability of media. Despite setting up the final arc of the season and featuring the very first companion departure, this episode is extraordinarily forgettable.
