(don't mind the fluff, i was brushing out the pages.) leather quarter cover with a corded spine, mixed cotton papers & a lot of charcoal sketches and tea stains. not sure on pages but it's 70,000+ words #destinyart

Drifter lore book finished! @beliyal.bsky.social came up with the list of stuff to include and I collated/formatted/bound it. 259 pages, not including blanks & endpapers. It's a birthday gift for a friend who loves Drifter but has read very little of his lore @destinythegame.bungie.net #destinyaotw
Hand bound book covered in green batik fabric, half light and half dark. There are brass corner protectors and the Drifter's twin snakes symbol is engraved into the cover. Endpapers of the book. They're handmade paper, deep green and hand stamped (not by me!)

Incredibly professional stream setup tonight, but it worked 😂

Look I know it's technically the trials/cult symbol rather than his but I like it and it fits better than just the iris. I have a sneaking suspicion I won't like it in the near future...

Oh there's plenty of purple in here - it's basically all of the Saint and Osiris written lore bound into a single volume (not their individual stuff, and only one or two voice lines or it'd be three times the length!), based off the Horus Shell (😭) tab and largely in chronological order

Aw thanks 😂 if you like those... I couldn't find endpapers I liked for it, so I made my own! The gold is more subtle and catches the light, the purple ink pops off the page

Osiris's journal's Emotionally Resonant Teacup beads are go 🫡 gonna put more feathers on with jumprings hence the gaping in the long one but they're not here yet

A handmade book of destiny lore. It's held open so that two pages are visible, with one held in between. The first one is SEMITONE SHIFT and the second is PERFECT PARADOX. The effect is that you read semitone shift (first time Saint says "I love you" to Osiris) and then turn the page to be hit with the lore on perfect paradox (Saint is dead).

Osiris's journal is starting to feel like a real book now it's got a spine!

It's made of handmade cotton paper so the edges are ruffled and scruffy and aged, and the endpapers are black. It's stitched together with black, yellow and purple thread. The unfinished cord ends and mull (that's stiffened, very openly woven fabric used in bookbinding to give support) are sticking out at the edges. Same book from the previous image, but it's held the way up that you'd normally hold a book. The pages are loosely held closed but they're feathering open a little so you can see the different kinds of paper. There's a few purple sheets visible towards the end of the book. Same book again but this time the pages are open wider and you can see some printed text peeking out. The same book again, held open so you can read some of the text on the pages. It's lore from the videogame Destiny 2. The parts that are visible are from the seasonal lore book in Splicer.

Believe it or not I only went in to look for Ancillary Sword, which they didn't have in stock *again*. But they did have this edition of justice, so now I can foist my other edition on someone else who needs to read it 😂

a thing i really need people to understand, so here’s a psa i guess. “step by step instructions” are meant to be step by step, not “thirteen steps in one paragraph, often with multiple in one sentence”

when people talk abt executive dysfunction and struggling to break tasks down, this is it. #adhd
screenshot of “step one” of a recipe, which is a condensed paragraph full of instructions. underneath it, i’ve broken the same paragraph into 13 different steps that are spaced out and formatted in a way that makes it easier to follow. the original reads: “Step 1 To make the tomato sauce, heat half the oil in a flameproof oven dish or ovenproof frying pan over a medium heat. Stir in the garlic and let it sizzle for 2 mins until fragrant, then mix in the oregano, sugar, basil and chopped tomatoes. Rinse out the cans with a splash of water each, then pour into the pan. Bring to a simmer, then leave to bubble away for 15-20 mins until thickened and reduced. an extremently iridescent/holographic sticker of saint-14 from destiny 2. he's drawn in a crosshatched black against the background with little wings behind his head and the words "FEELIN' CUTE" in big purple/pink bubble text underneath, but most importantly the light is making a giant, vibrant rainbow across the whole sticker. he's gay and feelin' cute about it.
