Another place to get trolled about Climate science huh?

Man, this has been too true for too long. And beyond, "Okay, but get a heat pump" there's also "here's how to get a heat pump" and "here's a great installer."
my takeaway from climate week nyc is that "climate storytelling" is a little too much "we must reimagine our deepest souls in relationship to mother nature and the moral abyss of the polycrisis into which we must now stare" and not enough "ok but get a heat pump"

@feargalsharkey.bsky.social quoted this by Seamus Heaney tonight at the Guardian climate event and it was needed

“History says, Don't hope on this side of the grave. / But then, once in a lifetime the longed-for tidal wave of justice can rise up, / And hope and history rhyme”

I wrote a basic outline of an obituary for Ozzy Osbourne for Noisey about 13 years ago. He outlived Noisey. You can say that much for the man. No more tears

Spain just released a report detailing the reasons behind the country's April blackouts. Britain's Daily Telegraph is now directly lying about the report, falsely claiming that solar power was to blame for the power cuts. The lies are being spread on social media.
UK media is so wild. It is tough to properly convey how shockingly deceptive this article is. It's desperate I guess but a lot of people will still read this, and trust it bc it's coming from what looks to be a reputable media outlet.

What are we (mis)using Earth for?

Would love to hear your thoughts on my new short film. Each second = 1% of global land use. What would you change if you had the power?

Please comment and share widely.

"We have the right to freedom of expression and to protest in this country. But that was hard won. They're the values of the freedoms that we are defending through the work that you're doing."
