All the constant call backs to gen 1 nostalgia & the older games by bringing back older characters & mons is exactly why the adults who grew up with Pokémon are the target audience. The kids don't remember Kalos, Sinnoh, or older regions. They don't even have Ash anymore. You on point, yo.
