Late to the party, but I’ve been reflecting on the Pokémon Day announcements, and realized why (I believe) the new sequel/remake/revisited region was Kalos instead of Johto or Unova, and it has everything to do with Pokémon Champions.

Prediction: Instead of being called Mario Kart 9/10/X, the next Mario Kart will be called “Mario Kart: Wonder,” and every track will have a Wonder Effect that kicks in for the last lap, changing the course in a cool/interesting way.

Switch 2 reveal was everything it needed to be. They showed, as demonstrably as possible, that this is a different console (albeit an iterative upgrade) and finally called it a numbered sequel to remove any confusion that it’s a mid cycle refresh vs a fully new console

So hyped to see the software
