Whoa, lots of BeeBot love so thank you! If you're using the app, make sure to ADD KEYWORDS. Keywords are what make it go from "it works" -> "it's pretty good".

Free tip for PR people looking to get your clients on podcasts. Don't do this shit where you skim the show notes of a recent episode and pretend that you can spin that to make your client sound interesting.

No, your rando marketing exec's insight isn't relevant to what we discuss.

I'm glad somebody has finally done this. The "we need to break copyright or AI won't work argument" feels super-dodgy to me and we can just evaluate whether it's true. 1/n

I think Slates are going to sell to younger Millennials and Gen Z like hotcakes. The design is astounding, especially considering how much they’ve economized to get the price point way, way down compared to almost any other new car on the market. (Bear in mind we’re […]

Ohhh this is a great conversation happening on #bluesky and i wonder if we can do it on Mastodon. I know I can filter out keywords from the text in posts, but will it also work within a URL's text? #journalism #mastodon

Everyone is entitled to their own hopes and dreams for a platform, but what I hope for from decentralized social media is for every social media user to be on it, and for the owners of centralized platforms to no longer be able to influence elections, movements, or genocides. It’s got to go big.

Bluesky is built to make social more like the Web again, so we will never suppress links. Link to your writing, your art, your personal site — this is the social internet, designed from the ground up to be open and interoperable.
Hard to describe as a journalist how grateful I am to have a text-based app that does not suppress hyperlinks. I don’t know if people realize exactly how hostile the corporate internet has gotten toward news.

Everyone’s asking whether they should be using Threads or Mastodon or Bluesky or Nostr or something else, and the simple answer is that it’s not zero sum. The era of one social network being the holder of the conversation is over. The only sustainable answer is for them all to interoperate.
