Man I *truly* appreciate websites with this type of design.

It feels so true to the person running it and you can tell they aren't trying to optimize every single second of my experience.

This is the most old man yells at cloud thing I've ever said, but MORE OF THIS PLEASE.

I generally dont like when a company monopolizes infrastructure, but the reason there's gigantic demand for Apple to do this is because car companies have shown with 100% efficiency that they can't program dashboards well.

Stop trying charge rents to drive cars.

@cwarzel.bsky.social wrote a fantastic piece in the Atlantic about the AI/Sun-Times disaster. But I was struck at this paragraph. (highlights mine)

Marveling at how quickly Victor Lim shirks all responsibility for running the piece. Of course the industry is in shambles.

A website should never open inside a mobile app. The default should alway be your browser.

I mean the product is cool, but Anthropic can't even deliver sufficient tokens for customers that *already* subscribe.

Posts like these are win. It seems we're starting to talk about how to properly assess success, and AI being a catalyst for that.

I heard Dario Amodei the other day say that 90% of code will be written with #AI. That's a *metric*, not a proper indicator of success.

This is cool.

I used Google's Data Science AI agent to compare the margin of victory #Duke has against its opponents this year (they lead the NCAA in this category) with another pretty significant delta.

Happy 1 year anniversary to @bsky.app !

Favor to ask. Please change this functionality. Clicking on my avatar should take me to my profile, not a message to add a second #Bluesky account.

Almost every model - including DeepSeek - isn't commercially viable for writing or image creation. The training data is dirty and subject to litigation.

For ChatGPT, the subscription fees feels more like you're paying for compute to run the tool than the tool itself. There's no MOAT.

January 6, 2025 at 4:39 PM
We do need to stop doing this in 2025. Full stop.

Playing games with what AGI is and isn't based on *checks notes* how much profits models generate will hurt long-term investment in AI.

The growth of #Bluesky, #Mastodon, and #federation as a whole shows incredible promise for what #social can be.

We're slowly moving in a direction that makes the internet better. Phanpy, the client I'm using in the screenshot below, is awesome.
